Poem – On and On

Little poem for today:

On and on

Twist! Spinning round and round we go
bouncing left and right

sliding like a violin bow
music to my ears

sounds drive the horse, merry go round
oh to be a child

to be so young and innocent
all things to be true

spare the lies! the horror outside
escape! freedom! you

oh please don’t end, this fervent dream
moving on and on

Lexicon word of the day: bawdry.

  1. to be so young and innocent – Well the kids ain’t like that in Miami. In pre K drive-by, crack and such are already part of vocab
